C.P.C or Carbon Raiser are a critical carbon additive and raw material in the iron and steel industry, produced by heating green petroleum coke to approximately 1300°C–1400°C to remove moisture, volatiles, and impurities. It is a black, porous, hard solid with a metallic luster.
